Here are a few things about this auction worth mentioning. *The auction was held at the Dallas Convention Center and what a disaster. After talking to many people. It seems like it took everyone on average about 30-40 minutes just to figure out where the auction was held at the convention center and where to park. The Dallas Convention Center was a terrible location to hold the auction....simply put it is a concrete maze comprised of many street blocks and multiple security check points with security guards telling you to turn left here, and at the second light go right.... what a mess! Load in and removal of games was just as much a pain as you had to drive on the complete opposite side of the convention center to enter a security checkpoint. Being that this was AGS first auction here in Big D they have already taken patrons opinions and know never to do it there again. The crowd was very light and I'm sure that had something to do with where this auction was held. Hardly any home buyers, the majority of the crowd was comprised of collectors, operators and a few distributors. *I must say a very nice selection of equipment, especially the pinball machines. There was a wide selection of many late model Dot Matrix Display pins and a lot of premium route equipment (Need for Speed, Big Buck Hunters, Target Terror, Smart Cranes, etc.). However there was only a handful of classic arcade games. Also unlike Super Auction there was not 2+ aisles of junky filler games. It was a lot of premium equipment. *Another thing different about this auction was that the games were not staged together throughout the hall. Meaning all the pins weren't together. All the equipment was pretty much lined up as it came in. A pin here a pin there. It kind of mixed the day up a bit...and in turn I think it helped make the crowd stick around longer. *Last but not least I really liked the way this auction was held. It moved along quickly. There wasn't over an hour wasted at the beginning selling off skill stop slot machines. Further more they had two auctioneers auctioning off equipment simultaniously down opposite sides of each aisle. This moved the auction along rather quickly. However if there was something you wanted on both sides. You better be paying close attention to what you were interested in bidding on. Prices for the most part went for average auction going prices. There were still some deals to be had. All in all I really enjoyed this auction, especially not having to pay a buyers premium since I'm in the business. Come back soon guys! Here are the pin results as they were auctioned off. Have in mind they were not auctioned off together as there were vids and stuff between them and I only caught the results on the pinball machines. NOTE: I missed the prices of the last 4 pinballs. If you have the prices of what these went for, please send it to me! Last but not least my disclaimer: Please do not e-mail me asking the condition of a machine. You should have been there!
